Talantbek Chekirov

Here we are, yet with another ex-Sovjet artist: Talantbek Chekirov

'Born in the former Soviet republic of Kygystan, 39-year-old Talantbek Chekirov has an appreciation for the natural beauty found in women. Using oil as his medium, Chekirov's creates photorealistic works of art that are soft and sensual. He paints shadows and light in such a way that makes his figures glow, giving us an appreciation not just for the female form but for an artistic skill few have been able to master.'

This website is an idea and experiment of wanken blogger and designer Sydney White.

Nobuhiro Nakanishi

Fukuoka, Japan-born artist Nobuhiro Nakanishi has created a mesmerizing series called Layered Drawings. Nakanishi uses a laser print to mount his photos onto plexiglass acrylic.

"The theme of my work is: the physical that permeates into the art piece," he says. "In a foggy landscape, we no longer see what we are usually able to see – the distance to the traffic light, the silhouette of the trees, the slope of the ground. Silhouettes, distance and horizontal sense all become vague. When we perceive this vagueness, the water inside the retina and skin dissolve outwardly toward the infinite space of the body surface. The landscape continues to flow, withholding us from grasping anything solid. By capturing spatial change and the infinite flow of time, I strive to produce art that creates movement between the artwork itself and the viewer's experience of the artwork."

here some images, and a link to his portfolio: http://www.nomart.co.jp/nakanishi/

Think Different.

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers. the round pegs in the square holes. the ones who see things diferently. They’re not found of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them; Because they change things, they push the human race forward. And as some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. It is the people who’re crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
